•  2 Instructional Assistant (Literacy Coach) positions (Part-Time 14 Hour Position)

Summary of Position:

• Responsible for assisting with literacy instruction inside the classroom
• Facilitate student success through implementing and assisting the teacher in using the district approved curriculum.
• Addressing specific educational needs of individual and small groups of students as deemed appropriate with guidance from the classroom teacher.
• This position works closely with the teachers and other Instructional Assistants in the building, to assist in providing high quality literacy instruction and intervention to the students in the classroom
• Must be able to develop and maintain positive relationships with Western Elementary students and staff.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with students, teachers and administration.
• Successfully implements plans for literacy groups, with teacher guidance.
